Loomis Chaffee
to LGA Airport.

Loomis Chaffee is in Windsor, just north of Hartford in the Connecticut River valley. Many Loomis families live abroad, so JFK and Newark international flights are a big part of our Loomis trips.

The drive to LGA starts onto I-91 in Windsor; after that it's I-91 to New Haven and Route 15 or I-95 south, then the Hutchinson and the Whitestone Bridge. That's about 108 mi — 2 hr 2 min at the quiet hours, 2 hr 22 min when the Whitestone Bridge approach is backed up.

From Loomis Chaffee, HPN is the quickest airport (about 1 hr 30 min) and LGA is the 2nd closest. You get one fixed price for Loomis Chaffee to LGA before you book, tolls included.

Break weeks fill up fast. If several friends from Loomis Chaffee are flying out of LGA the same day, a Premium Black SUV takes up to 6 with bags. If the school changes the break dates or your flight moves, just tell us — changing the pickup time is free.

For a domestic flight from LaGuardia, book the pickup at Loomis Chaffee about 4 hr 30 min before departure.

Most LaGuardia flights are domestic — 2 hours at the airport is enough — but the Grand Central Parkway backs up at rush hour. On snowy days, holiday weekends and summer Fridays we'll suggest leaving earlier.

• The flight number — the car follows any delay
• How many passengers and bags (sedan up to 3, SUV up to 6)
• Whether a parent should get the driver details too
• Dorm or building name
• Any extra stop on the way

Take the Hartford Line from Windsor to Harlem–125th Street (changing at New Haven) and take the M60 bus to the terminals — the bus is the only transit link to LaGuardia.

Compare that with a car: one seat, your bags in the trunk, 2 hr 2 min – 2 hr 22 min to the curb.
